It was so wonderful having Craig with us!

He makes us all feel a little safer and he’s taken care of some of the more mundane things like oil changes, car maintenance, etc. Thankfully, he was with us to go ahead and replace a couple of new tires when we got a flat near the Grand Canyon!

Leaving the GC, we hoped to see some slot canyons in Page, AZ. We stopped at Lake Powell and after checking out their unfortunate crammed camp sites with no privacy, we decided to splurge on a couple of nights at the resort and make the most of our time all together as a family. We enjoyed the rest, the sunset views and spent a day on the lake kayaking!

Such fun and a good break from the fast paced schedule we’d kept up to that point!

We knew our time would be short with Craig and Friday evening, made the sad trip to Vegas to say goodbye to him. We used Hotwire to find a place not too far from the airport and were so excited when we were booked at the Palazzio hotel (part of the Venetian on the strip). We’ve never been to Las Vegas and had no idea what to expect, but I suspect this would be the way to do it! ☺️

This suite was less expensive than most of our other hotel stops so far and SO much fun!. Look at the drapes you can open without leaving your bed! And that view!

Craig and I had a date night and split a burger at Prime Burger, then wandered clueless around the casino trying to figure out how everything works. Sure was good people watchin’!

The next morning we dropped Craig at the airport and set off for Hoover Dam. (Colby will be writing this post from here forward… He has all the dam jokes! πŸ˜‰)

It was a hot day in the desert. The hills and canyons hid the dam from view until we were right upon it. The bridge and dam are such big structures that for a moment it takes your breath away. With all of the natural wonders we’ve seen, it was fascinating to see such a man-made marvel.

The dam tours were closed the day we went, so we opted for a tour of the power plant.

They use the force of water falling from the height of Lake Mead which was made by the dam. The dam water spins the dam turbines which are connected to large electromagnets. The magnets are spun inside a circle of wire coils to generate electricity. They activate the turbines based on the demand for electricity, so it is hard to say how many generators are running at any given time. When we were there, they had about 4 generators running.

After the tour we got ice cream at the dam gift shop and found a shady spot to sit and eat it. It was the perfect ending to our hot dam trip! 😜

Your text is definitely incredibly powerful which is possibly the reason why I am taking an effort to comment. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. 2nd, while I can see the leaps in reasoning you come up with, I am not confident of just how you seem to connect your ideas which inturn help to make the conclusion. For right now I shall subscribe to your issue but hope in the future you link the dots better.

  5. Thanks for your article. One other thing is individual states have their particular laws in which affect house owners, which makes it very, very hard for the our lawmakers to come up with a brand new set of rules concerning home foreclosure on home owners. The problem is that a state offers own laws which may interact in a negative manner in terms of foreclosure plans.

  6. I have discovered that sensible real estate agents everywhere you go are warming up to FSBO Advertising. They are recognizing that it’s more than merely placing a poster in the front place. It’s really pertaining to building connections with these vendors who at some time will become customers. So, if you give your time and energy to helping these sellers go it alone — the “Law involving Reciprocity” kicks in. Thanks for your blog post.
